Job Description:
A company is looking for a Utilization Review Specialist to
obtain insurance authorization for behavioral health treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Contact insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain treatment
approval
Collaborate with the clinical team to compile treatment plans and
necessary documentation
Document Electronic Medical Records accurately and communicate
authorizations/denials to internal staff
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
Previous healthcare or insurance experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and psychiatric criteria
Ability to analyze and communicate clinical information
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and EMR
